Job Description
We are looking for a Flight Tests Manager with experience in flying & testing Airborne Systems in a variety of missions. You will be responsible for the following:
- Manage flight tests as a member of the ‘ALPHA’ flight tests team.
- Perform test flights in various disciplines of the company, including Spear’s system evaluation & validation phase, which includes writing test cases, running tests, and analyzing test results.
- Manage the test field and cooperate with Product, R&D, Operations and Marketing. This includes working with customers, field engineers, and other stakeholders to gather requirements, test systems, and resolve issues.
- Lead the trial process starting from new capabilities tested for the 1st time, to the stage of maturing the system.
- Working in a high–paced and vibrant atmosphere, meeting deadlines, and working under pressure in the test fields of the company.
- Perform demonstrations (local and abroad), act as the front face for our customers,
- Take part in customer training, and evaluation of our system.
- This position includes – flights abroad for demonstrations.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills & Experience):
- Proven record of outdoor operation experience, with the ability to work in a test field environment.
- Experience in operating drones.
- Experience in airborne systems testing/evaluation.
- Experience in analyzing flight reports (logs), and failure investigations.
- Strong can-do approach and problem-solving capability.
- Communication skills in Hebrew and English
- Driver’s license.
- Experience as a Flight Test Manager – Advantage
- Drone pilot’s license (CAAI) – advantage.
Other Qualifications & Desired Competencies:
- You must be presentable and have high human relations and independence.
- You must be able to write experimental plans and reports.
- Drones technical background, Pixhawk, DJI, etc. – an advantage.
